If you can’t take your therapist’s hands home, take the next best thing!.
The Pocket Physio and its bigger version, the Pocket Physio MAX have been designed to make it easy to locate and release muscle trigger points in tight muscles.
When muscles get tight they often cause pain in specific patterns away from the area. Each muscle in the body has a specific referral pain pattern. Applying pressure to the tightest area of a muscle (the Trigger Point) signals to the muscle to relax. This helps relieve pain and improve mobility in the associated joints.
Therapists use their thumbs or elbows to apply pressure. Now you can treat yourself by using the Pocket Physio or Pocket Physio MAX!

Watch Physiotherapist, Cameron Lillicrap demonstrate how easy it is to locate and release one of the most common areas of muscle tightness that causes lower back pain
Both sizes work in the same way but the small one is easier to hold in your hand so is most commonly used for muscles in the shoulder, forearm, knee and foot. Use the larger, Pocket Physio MAX for triggering deeper muscles by sitting on the floor and sliding it under your glutes or lying horizontally on a flat surface and rolling over it to release your hip flexors.
